The Zetland Hotel, Glenside, Saltburn, Redcar and Cleveland

The Hotel was built in 1861-3 and designed by William Peachey for the Stockton & Darlington Railway Co. It is built from White Pease brick in the Italianate style. The railway reached Saltburn in 1860 and the town developed rapidly. Henry Pease, a Quaker ironmaster, was involved in much of the development. The hotel has since been used as flats.
