Village Pump, Church End, Haynes, Bedfordshire

The pump was put up by the Rev. Lord John Thynne around 1869. It has an iron handle and spout and sits in a wooden case with a carved inscription: " O ye wells bless ye the Lord". The roof provided shelter for the village people who came to draw water from the pump.
