War Memorial, Brantingham, East Riding of Yorkshire

This war memorial was put up in 1922 for Sir John and Lady Sherburn. It was constructed from reclaimed material after the demolition, in 1912, of Hull Town Hall. One side supports a bronze plaque on which are recorded the names of fourteen young men who died during World War One. The memorial has been described as "one of the most lovably awful things in the East Riding".
