War Memorial, Market Place, Kendal

This war memorial was put up in 1921. It is in the form of a life-size bronze statue of a WWI infantryman in marching order. The north, south and east faces each have bronze panel giving the names of the WWI fallen. A bronze laurel wreath hangs over each corner. The plinth base has a bronze panel on each face giving the names of the WWII fallen.
