War Memorial, Tow Law, Durham

This war memorial was put up around 1919 in Wolsingham Road. It is in the shape of a life size figure of a soldier advancing with his bayonet fixed. The names of the men from Tow Law who died in World War One are inscribed on the four sides of the pedestal. The inscriptions on the frieze read FOR COUNTRY 1914 1919.
