Description

The photographer has noted on the back of the print: 'No 31. The church was designed by Wren. The body of the church was nearly destroyed in the air raid of April 16. 1941, and the lantern and spire of the steeple were removed later'.

The buildings numbered 84 -92, along the north side of Queen Victoria Street, and the remains of St Mildred's Church have since been completely demolished.
