Description

The photographer has noted on the back of the print: 'No 38. Church designed by Wren. Badly damaged by flying bomb in August (?) 1944. Steeple unharmed. In Nov 1961 the restoration of the exterior was more or less completed, but work on the interior was suspended for lack of money. Fate uncertain'.
