Description

The two buildings in the foreground, one with a projecting clock, are numbers 6 and 7 and St Mary at Hill Church.

The photographer has noted on the back of the print: 'No 45. The church, designed by Wren, was only slightly damaged in an air raid autumn 1940. The flat circular spire to the left behind the clock is that of the Victorian Coal Exchange, which was demolished in 1964'.
