Description

The altar is dedicated to the pagan nymph of the River Wharfe, Verbeia, and stands at around 4'10" tall. There is a 17th century replica of the altar, and both are likely to be in the grounds of Myddleton House.

It is not clear if this is an image of the original or replica.
