Description

The nave of York Minster is aisled and has eight bays. The arcades have compound piers with leaf capitals. Overhead is a galleried triforium and clerestory. The aisles have a continuous blind arcade against the outer wall, with crocketed gabled hoods over trefoil panels. Above is a partial view of a three-light aisle window.
