Description

The four arches on the north of the nave are remnants of the original church built by Robert de Montgomery. Three of these arches are from the 12th century, whilst the eastern bay is probably from the 13th century. Above these arches are wallpaintings dating from around 1200, featuring knights on horses. It is suggested that this depicts the battle between vices and virtues.
