Description

The misericords in Worcester Cathedral date from 1379, with several modern additions. The misericords represent biblical scenes, nine Labours of the Months, and scenes of everyday life. This misericord depicts two armoured knights on horseback jousting. The knight on the left is unhorsed, and the horse is on its hind legs. The knight on the right is drivign his lance towards his opponent. This is supported on the left by a squire falling backwards, and on the right by a squire blowing a horn.
