Description

The misericords in Worcester Cathedral date from 1379, with several modern additions. The misericords represent biblical scenes, nine Labours of the Months, and scenes of everyday life. This misericord represents the Expulsion from the Garden of Eden: Adam and Eve are putting on fig leaves, and are walking before an angel who holds a drawn sword above its head. This is supported by an inward-facing dove on either side.
