Description

The alabaster tomb of Sir Lawrence and Lady Tanfield is located in St Katherine's Chapel in St John the Baptist's Church. The six columns are made from black marble, and these along with obelisks support a canopy, on the corners and sides of which are carved figures of the Virtues.
