Description

The reredos dates from the early 16th century. It was originally displayed behind the high altar, was removed or covered after the dissolution of the convent in 1539, and is said to have been rediscovered in the early 19th century. The reredos is now displayed above the altar in the St Lawrence Chapel. The paintings on the upper tier depict saints, whilst on the lower tier the Resurrection is shown.
