Description

Only fragments remain of the stained glass in the east window, which dates from 1480-82. These now show the family of Edward IV including Elizabeth Woodville, their four daughters, and Edward V. Fragments in the upper tier include St Leonard, whilst arms of England and of Bishop William Alcock, the patron, can be seen in the tracery lights. the window was produced by a Malvern workshop headed by Richard Twygge and Thomas Woodshawe; this workshop also produced the 'Magnificat' window in Great Malvern Priory, and windows for Tattershall College and the nave of Westminster Abbey.
