Description

The map is a bromide copy and has a legend but no scale. The coastlines are not marked although the Roman names for the seas and areas of water are given (when known). The sites shown range from Binchester (Vinovia) in Durham to Channelkirk in Borders and Corbiehall in Falkirk, Scotland.

There is a concentration on sites around Hadrians Wall, outside this area the smaller marching camps are mostly not shown.

The map is undated and so a wide possible period has been given.
