Description

A facsimile of the AD 1360 map of Great Britain preserved in the Bodleian Library. The map is reproduced in two parts as an exact copy in colour. There are also four transparent overlays, two sheets of which show the transcribed and conjectured place-names on the Gough Map, the other two show their position on a moder map at a scale of 1:1000000. Attached to the front of the portfolio is an accompanying booklet by E J S Parsons with a section on 'The roads of the Gough Map' by Sir Frank Stenton
