Description

At the time the photograph was taken the building shown was numbered 11-13 Tite Street, subsequently renumbered as 31-33 Tite Street. From about 1885, part of the building was also a home and artist's studio for John Singer Sargent. The Bedford Lemere daybook records the architects as E W Godwin and R W Edis.
