Description

This timber framed house is dated 1596 with the initials AR and TR carved in the wood, standing for Thomas and Ann Rogers. It was also the home of Catherine Rogers, mother of John Harvard, founder of Harvard University. It was later endowed to Harvard University by Chicago millionaire Edward Morris who restored it after purchasing it in 1909.
