Description

Part of this country house dates from circa 1600. The south and east ranges date from 1665-1670 with the north and west wings added circa 1840. The house has been recorded as Clopton Hall in the Bedford Lemere daybook, but from directories and maps of the same period as the photograph it appears to be known as Clopton House.
