Description

The Verulam Club was a gentlemen's club which opened in 1843. The Bedford Lemere daybook records that the photograph was taken for J S Lee & Son. It is unclear from the daybook who they were, but John Swanwick & Sons, surveyors of Craven Street, Strand, are recorded in the Kelly's directory of 1886.
