Description

Axwell Park was built 1758 by the architect James Paine. It was altered 1817-1818 by John Dobson. The image is one of several taken by Bedford Lemere and Co of buildings designed or altered by Dobson, although this is incorrectly listed in the Bedford Lemere daybook as 'Robson'. The image was taken for Sir Henry A Clavering, owner of Axwell Park.
