Description

Eggesford House was built between 1820 and 1830 for the architect Newton Fellowes, by Thomas Lee of Barnstaple. It was abandoned in 1911, and fell into ruin. The Bedford Lemere daybook records that the image was taken for the Earl of Portsmouth.
