Description

The house shown in this image is thought to be on Central Avenue at its junction with Brookdale. This part of Hampton was developed in the late 19th century and a number of smart Victorian villas lined the newly constructed roads. The area around Central Avenue was demolished around the turn of the 20th century to make way for Stain Hill Reservoirs.
