Description

Canford Manor was originally built in 1825-1836 by Edward Blore. Later alterations were made by Sir Charles Barry Junior in 1848-1853, by David Brandon in 1873-1876, and by Romaine Walker and Tanner in 1888, when this image was taken. In 1923 Canford Manor was sold and converted into a boarding school. The image is one of a set taken for Lord Wimborne, owner of Canford Manor.
