Description

The Royal English Opera House was built in 1888-1891 by the architects Thomas Edward Collcutt and G H Holloway for Richard D'Oyly Carte. In 1892 it was renamed the Palace Theatre of Varieties, and was known as the Palace Theatre from 1911.
