Description

The photograph was taken for the owner Mr Francis Tress Barry (later Sir) and the magazine Lady's Pictorial to show work carried out by architect C H Howell. The house was subsequently partially demolished in 1924 when it was sold after the death of Lady Barry. It was originally known as Forest Lodge in the 1760s, when it was owned by Lady Waldegrave.
