Description

The St George's Rifles was a British Army regiment formed originally as 'St George's Hanover Square Volunteers' in 1794. The company evolved into the St George's Rifle Corps and later the 1st Volunteer Battalion of the King's Royal Rifles. This photograph shows their new headquarters designed by the architect Charles Herbert Shoppee.
