Description

The original Dutch Church which stood on this site dated from 1550. All but the nave was destroyed in 1603 and after a fire destroyed much of the building in 1862, it was rebuilt between 1863-5 by l'Anson and Lightly. The church shown in the photograph was subsequently destroyed by bombing in 1940 and was replaced in 1950-4.
