Description

The building served as the office of Richardson Spence and Co, agents for travel on the Red Star Line and American Line to New York and Philadelphia. The photograph shows that he offices on the first floor were occupied by Cayzer, Irvine and Co, a steam ship company. The Bedford Lemere daybook states that the photograph was retaken on 31 May 1893. The client was Edward B Ellis.
