Description

The library, dating from 1889, was designed in a Gothic Revival style by Sydney R J Smith. At the time the photograph was taken the library was known as Durning Free Public Library and its address was 167 Lower Kennington Lane. It is now just known as Durning Library and the address has changed to 167 Kennington Lane.
