Tudor House, later Hawthorne House, was built to designs by the architects Ernest George and Peto for the china manufacturer W J Goode in 1883. The image was taken for Mr Minton Goode, son of the owner. The building has since been demolished, and the site is now occupied by Summit Lodge.
