Gosford House was originally built 1790-1800 to designs by Robert Adam. In the early 1890s the wings of the house were demolished and replaced to designs by the architect William Young. The image was taken for the Earl of Wemyss, owner of Gosford House, probably to show the house after these alterations had been made.
