The Bedford Lemere daybook records that this photograph was taken for 'Sir Chas Rich', which may refer to Sir Charles Henry Stuart Rich, 4th Baronet of the Rich Baronets. The daybook also states that Holloway Brothers Builders were involved with the commissioning of this photograph, but it cannot be confirmed in what capacity they were involved.
