Description

This drawing was created by the architect of the Hall School, Edward Robert Robson, who designed several hundred school buildings in London after the Elementary Education Act school reforms of 1870. This photograph was taken on the 25th May 1894 by the Bedford Lemere & Co, but it is unclear whether the drawing was made as a design sketch, or as a drawing created after the building's completion. The Bedford Lemere daybook states that this photograph was taken for 'Miss Allen Olney', and this refers to either Sara or Rita Allen-Olney, who ran a school for girls at The Hall from 1891.
