Description

Lord Belasyse (1614-1689) was a nobleman, soldier and Member of Parliament for Thirsk. He was born at Newburgh Grange, Yorkshire and buried in St Giles-in-the-Fields.

The Bedford Lemere daybook simply records 'Monument St Giles' Church' for this photograph. It is also unclear who commissioned this photograph, as no record was made.
