Description

The Imperial Institute, designed by architect Thomas Edward Collcutt, was founded on Queen Victoria's Golden Jubilee. With the exception of the Queen's Tower, the institute was demolished to make way for Imperial College in 1957, and the former Imperial Institute Road was renamed Imperial College Road.
