Description

Since the opening of Highgate Hall in 1895 its various uses have included a Victorian Music Hall, a cinema, a Masonic Lodge and a venue for amateur dramatics. It adjoins, and is part of, the much older Gate House public house. The Bedford Lemere daybook records this image as part of a job associated with the 'Old Gatehouse'. The client is recorded as L A Withall and the architect is recorded as George Wyatt.
