Description

This 'Resonator' by piano makers Sebastian & Pierre Erard was introduced in 1895 and was designed to improve the tone of old pianos. In the Bedford Lemere daybook the word 'collage' has been recorded in brackets, which may explain why the background in the image appears to have been cut out.
