Description

Horse Guards was designed by William Kent in 1745-8, and was built under John Vardy and William Robinson in 1750-59. This photograph was commissioned by J Caswall Smith, and the Bedford Lemere daybook records that the glass plate negatives were later delivered to W J C Smith (presumably the same person).
