The interior furnishings were provided by S J Waring and Sons, and the company commissioned this photograph to be taken. The original Berkeley Hotel was at the corner of Piccadilly and Berkeley Street, from which it takes its name. The hotel was purchased by Richard D'Oyly Carte in 1901, and then became part of the Savoy Group.
