Description

The Park Hospital was erected between 1895 and 1897 by the 'Metropolitan Asylums Board' (MAB) at a cost of £280,000. It was officially opened by the Prince of Wales on 12th July 1897. At the time it was the largest fever hospital in the country providing accommodation for 548 fever patients and 300 staff. The architect was Edwin T. Hall.
