Description

The Imperial Hotel was built in 1866-1867 by the Manchester architects Clegg and Knowles. It was extended in 1875 and again in 1904 by J B Broadbent, who is recorded in the Bedford Lemere daybook as the architect. The photograph was taken for E Burkhardt.
