The photograph, showing interior design by H and J Cooper, was taken for Mrs Dickens, who lived at the address with her husband Mr Henry Fielding Dickens, the eighth child of the author Charles Dickens. Henry Fielding Dickens was a barrister, King's Counsel, and Common Serjeant of London.
