Description

The Hotel Great Central (1897-99) was designed by Colonel R W Edis to service Marylebone Railway Station. During the Second World War it served as a convalescent home and subsequently offices, before reopening as a hotel in the 1990s. The image shows the furnishings of Maple and Company, whose owner John Blundell Maple also owned the Hotel Great Central.
