This house, believed to be located at the junction of Dumbreck Road with Nithsdale Road in Dumbreck, Glasgow, was designed in 1889 by Scottish architect James Miller. The photograph was taken for the owner Mr Melville who is likely to have been William Melville, Engineer to the Glasgow & South Western Railway and who had also previously worked with James Miller.
