This church, built in 1895, was designed by architect J L Pearson. The photograph, which is recorded as a '12x10 Repro' in the Bedford Lemere daybook, was taken for Ismay Imrie & Co., a subsidiary division of Ocean Steam Navigation Company ( White Star Line). It shows the memorial window to Thomas Ismay, the founder of the shipping company, who had died a year earlier.
