The bank formerly stood at the corner of Kirkdale and Peak Hill Avenue on a site now occupied by a petrol station. The numbering scheme for Kirkdale has changed over the last century, so number 42 no longer relates to this site. The daybook records that the London and Provincial Bank commissioned Bedford Lemere and Company to photograph a number of its branches around the south east of England.
