Description

This photograph was commissioned by Margaret Ismay, widow of Thomas Henry Ismay, chairman of the White Star Shipping Line. It is included with a batch of photographs showing the tomb of Thomas Henry (who also died in 1899) and is marked in the Bedford Lemere daybook as 'Nurse's Grave'.
